EPISODE TEN [10]
THE FINAL EPISODE
*...We both screamed in excruciating pain*
Neighbours around heard our screams and rushed us to a nearby hospital. Gift and I were admitted in the same ward.
I was on coma for several hours.
When I finally regained consciousness,
I still pretended I was unconscious.
The following people were in the ward:
My parents,
two neighbours from our street,
Mrs.Bleszy Henry and her husband.
Honestly, it would have been better I never woke up from the stabbing.
Gift was on drip. Her case wasn't that serious.
She was giving answers to their numerous questions
Gift knew all these while. She actually caught her mum and I together.
She had been with my boxer all these while.
She had waited for me to think all was fine...and then she striked.
Still feeling very schocked,
Mrs. Bleszy Henry's husband went to the doctor.
A test was performed on him.
The result showed that he was an impotent.
He demanded an explanation from his wife; to tell him how she got the pregnancy.
She didn't hide anything. She unleashed the whole secret.
She told him I am the biological father of Gift and the baby she was carrying in her womb.
The ward was silent. Everyone was shocked.
My dad broke the silence.
He said to me,
"From today henceforth, you are no longer my son!"
then he walked out of the ward and bounced the door.
By this time,
I was sweating and panting profusely in my FALSE state of unconsciousness;
As I laid on the bed with my eyes closed,
I realised I was wrong all along.
The secret didn't go with me down to the grave.
Indeed,
nothing can be hidden under the sun!!
Now the two neighbours from our street had also left the ward.
I blinked my eyes.
My mum was at one end with her hands folded and her mouth wide open.
Mrs. Bleszy Henry was at the other end, crying ocean from her eyes.
Mrs. Bleszy Henry's husband walked up to her.
I thought he was going to strangle her.
But he didn't!
He put one hand on her shoulder...then he used the other to wipe the tears off her face.
He walked up and sat beside me.
He held my hand and felt my cheek.
"It's alright!" he said with a sad tone in his voice.
He seemed to have forgiven me.
But I don't think I can ever face that man in my entire dream life...
I WOKE UP... So it was all a dream!!!
