Mrs. Bleszy Henry and her husband were at our house one evening.
They had an argument.
He wants to enrol Gift in the same school as me.
His wife objected the idea.
After about an hour argument that night, it was agreed that Gift would be enrolled in the same school I was attending.
According to her husband, I could even be taking Gift to school every morning.
I really did not buy that idea.
How could I possibly be attending the same school with Gift, my secret daughter.
None-the-less,
I didn't argue on whatever was finalized;
I had to be careful on my own path, agreeing to whatever decision was made so as never to raise any suspicion that I am the father of Gift.
YEARS PASSED...
Gift grew to be a very beautiful girl. Everyone talked about her beauty in that community.
Sometimes when I think of the sin I have comitted with Mrs. Bleszy Henry, I suddenly lose concentration on my studies.
My academic performance grew poorer and poorer ever since Gift and I started attending the same school.
READ WHAT HAPPENED HERE:
*When Gift was in nursery one, I was in primary 2.
Due to her brilliant performance, she was promoted to primary one.
That term,
I struggled so hard and managed to be promoted to primary three on merit.
Now in primary three, I degraded even more academically...and it happened that I was repeated.
Meanwhile, Gift did excellently and was given double promotion.
So she caught up with me in the same class...primarythree.
Everyone talked about Gift's beauty and intelligence.
When my dad heard this, he withdrew me from school immediately.
And that was the end of schooling for me.
I wept.
