My dad withdrew me from school due to my unremarkable performance.
And that was how my dream of graduating from school someday was shattered.
...TEN YEARS PASSED...
Gift is now in secondary school.
She has grown into an elegant young woman.
Any person who walked pass Gift without starring at her twice was considered a blind person.
Meanwhile,
I helped my father in repairing bicycle in his bicycle workshop. That was actually the life he wanted for me. So I worked hard and waited patiently for the day he would pass away so I could inherit the workshop.
Gift and I happened to be very close friends.
Our relationship is like this:
While she thinks of me as just a neighbour and a friend,
I think of her as my daughter.
I was at my dad's shop one afternoon when Gift was returning from school.
She was been accompanyed by a student.
I was so mad.
I didn't care if he was her so-called classmate or so.
I followed another street and bursted in their front.
Before the guy knew it, I had dashed him several blows on his face.
He was rolling on the floor. I was going to give him another blow when Gift held my hand and yelled,
"Stop it! What the hell is wrong with you? You're not even my father... And you can never be my father!"
I was dumbfounded.
On a normal day,
we would have exchanged words but I kept my cool.
If I should started vomitting words from my mouth,
I may give her clue that I am her biological father.
Ofcourse I don't want to.
That is a secret between Mrs. Bleszy Henry and I.
A secret I intend carrying to my grave!
