EPISODE FOUR (4)
While dad was taking me home from the psychiatric hospital, neither of us uttered a word to each other. While we treked home in silence, I was thinking of Bleszy all through. Somehow, I was already getting adapted to life in the psychiatric hospital. And I would love to stay if not for the lashes of whip which awaits me if I dare go back."So I may never see Bleszy again?" I asked myself.
That also means the stupid guy I dealt with could go visit her anytime he wishes.
I just pray he learnt his lessons.
When we got home, there were visitors in our house.
If not for the visitors, I knew dad would have reprimanded my step mum for pushing me to a psychiatric hospital.
The moment my step mum heard my voice, she acted very friendly. She called me to the kitchen to give her a helping hand. On a normal day, she will never let me enter the kitchen let alone help out.
"Wash and dry this fresh fish for me very fast!" she commanded.
I agreed.
I was really eager to impress my step mum for the first time.
"Perhaps she may start liking me," I thought.
I got a bucket and soaked the pieces of fish in detergent for about 3 minutes.
Then I got Soap and started washing.
I scrubbed them so hard until there was no sign of blood gushing out anymore. Then I rinsed and dried them on the rope.
I was still waiting patiently for them to get dried when my step mum called;
she told me to hurry up-that I was taking the whole day.
An idea of how to make the fish dry fast occured to me.
I removed them from the rope and proceeded to ironing them.
The visitors were gone already...
and dad escorted them. My step mum only went out to bid them goodbye.
I was so absolved in the ironing of the fish.
I was still ironing the first piece when I heard my step mum's footsteps at my back.
I didn't look back.
In my mind, I was expecting some words of congratulations from her for a job well done.
I really can't figure out what happened next.
All I know is that she used something as hard as pistol to hit me on my head.
...and the next place I found myself was in hospital bed!
It was really quite unfortunate.
